This Week's Mélange

Hey peeps! Hope all is well with everyone. This post is a true mélange (mix) of things as it is my last until I return from our beach vacation. ( I don't like to schedule posts in advance).

First up is a card I made to help the Simon Monday Challenge Blog celebrate their 6th anniversary this week:

Happy anniversary and thanks for all the wonderful challenges and prizes each week along with all the fabulous DT inspiration!!

For my T Stands For Tuesday gals: LuAnn and I recently had lunch again at McCarthy's Red Stag Pub!

LuAnn had her usual turkey melt and I had the dish in the foreground- Chicken Leitrim Boxty-so yummy!
Of course we went thru the shoppe afterwards and look what we found new:

Aren't these fabulous tea towels?? LuAnn bought the two along with the hanging frames to put in her kitchen in their new home in the Adirondacks.

And for Try It On Tuesday (new theme is use your leftovers) along with  Paint Party Friday later this week:

A  9" x 12" journal page reflecting my thoughts of Annie. The background was a page in which I mopped up leftover paint and stencils. The blue stenciled areas and the black wheat stencil was added over it along with the words.

Not sure whether or not I'll take art supplies on our beach trip but I do have this to keep me occupied:

lots of varied things to read!

I will have computer and email access but don't plan on using it much so I'll be around the remainder of this week to see what you've been up to and will catch up on the rest once I'm back. Be well!

  6. Hi Linda

Love that quirky bird on the card... and the tea towels ... I spotted the Blight tea and Craft tea especially made me smile :)

More lovely food too... reminding me it is lunch time;)

Great use of your leftover paint...

    Happy Holidays to you.

Dull and grey here ... but at least it has stopped raining and it should make the allotment easier to dig this afternoon (after lunch!!!)

  8. I had trouble scrolling past your chicken dish. It looks sooo good! I often drink water with lemon with meals, so I could easily picture myself pulled up to this meal :) Happy T Tuesday.

  10. What a great card for a birthday! Those crazy birds are fab. I have seen them used in so many different ways. A real success.
Your meal made my mouth water. American meals always astound me. Every time I have visited the US I have put on weight because the meals are so huge!
I wish you a very relaxing and happy (internet free) beach holiday.
    Enjoy!

  18. I sincerely apologize for not visiting sooner. My internet/phone problem took the wrong time to go offline again. Even the serviceman is confused. Before he could leave, thinking all was well, it went out again. Right now I'm at Sally's and this has to be quite quick.

I was delighted to read you got my message about the wonderful gift you sent. Such a surprise. I really enjoyed the hodge podge, yet coordinated post. I suspect lots of reading time is what you will be doing while you dip your toes in the sand. I sure hope you take your camera so you can share lots of photos for those of us who live in land locked areas.

Your lunch sounds so, so wonderful, and I like those towels, too. The blue one would actually fit in my kitchen. Thanks for sharing your meal and wonderful art with us for T Day. Have fun while you're away.
